First 19 Retail Tenants Announced for Empire Outlets

The first retail tenants for Empire Outlets in St. George have been released.

Starbucks, U.S. Polo, Gap Outlet, Banana Republic Factory Store, White House Black Market, Columbia Sportswear Company, Guess Factory Store, Wilsons Leather, G.H. Bass & Co., Lids, Obey Your Body, Innovation Luggage, Walgreens, Haagen Dazs, Krispy Kreme, Nathan’s Famous and Applebee’s will occupy more than 100,000 square feet of retail space when Empire Outlets opens next year.

These retailers will join anchor tenants Nordstrom Rack (the off-price retail division of Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc., ) and Swedish fashion retailer H&M.

James Prendamano, managing director for the St. George based Casandra Properties, the leasing agent for Empire Outlets said: “This is New York City’s only outlet destination. It will be geared toward servicing shoppers from around the world. Retailers were chosen based on brand recognition and unmet demand in the retail market.”

Located directly adjacent to the St. George Ferry Terminal and the soon-to-be-built New York Wheel, the multimillion-dollar Empire Outlets project will include 340,000 square feet of retail space with approximately 100 designer outlet retailers, a 190-room hotel featuring a rooftop venue with expansive waterfront views, a 1,250-space structured parking garage, and a 40,000-square-foot food and beverage deck that will provide panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline.

“The food and beverage deck will offer world famous cuisine, as well as magnificent views of the Manhattan skyline,” said John Pitera, managing director of Casandra Properties. “Today we announced tenancy from some of the most renowned brands in the industry and there is more to come.”

Said Prendamano: “This outlet center will be like no other with millions of visitors from virtually every country in the world passing through and ready to shop.”
