If you’re native to Staten Island, or have lived here for some time, you’ve most certainly heard of Todt Hill, arguably, the most affluent neighborhood on the Island. Some of us may be fortunate enough to live here, but most of us just drive through it in awe, while using it as a shortcut to circumvent traffic.
It’s Not Your Average “Hill”
Todt Hill was formed from a 401-foot-tall hill of serpentine rock on Staten Island.
Did you know Todt Hill is the highest natural point throughout the five boroughs of New York City? What’s remarkable is that it’s also the highest elevation on the entire Atlantic coastal plain – from Florida to Cape Cod.
